Truth or Dare Tuesday with Chris

Today we welcome Chris to Truth or Dare. She is our first non author guest, although Chris does have aspirations to write. I met Chris through the blog and facebook and when I posted the request for people to participate in Truth or Dare she was one of the first people to say "I'm up for that." Which from what I know about her is a very Chris thing to do :)

Here's a brief intro Chris wrote and also her explanation as to why she's chosen Truth over Dare.

Hi! I’m Chris, mom to 2 kids, and a wife for 13 years to my best friend of now 20 years. I homeschool my kiddos, love to bake and cook. Almost a suzie homemaker. OK so I’m not that good. I have lived in Oklahoma almost my whole life. I aspire to write, and hope one day soon to get on that. For now I am just being the best mom and wife I can. Living one day at a time.
I chose truth because I have been sick, and no one deserves to see any pictures of me looking like death worn over. I promise it was for your own protection!

Thanks for thinking of us Chris and I hope you feel better soon. Now lets check out the answers to the questions you chose.

What are you afraid of?
Spiders.. Deathly afraid.. My stomach cringes and I feel like I am going to pass out.
I can handle fake ones that LOOK fake. But any real or real looking ones.. nope. I scream for help.
I have gotten better over the past couple years and have been able to kill a few by myself.

What feature are you conscience about?
My thighs. After 2 kids, and not much working out.. I have cellulite. And I hate it.

What is the longest you've gone without sex?
Hmm sex with others or sex with myself? Lol about 6 months. The other half pissed me off  and well.. lets just say it was a fairly dry year..

If you were the opposite sex for a day, what would you look like, and what would you do?
Hmm well of course I would look like a sexy hunk. Dark hair Dark eyes built like Adonis.. (Who would want to be ugly??) I would DEF pee standing up. And of course.. I would have to feel what a male orgasm is like.

Where is the strangest place you've had sex?
Behind the movie theater.. Which happens to be right next to the highway.. All the passersby can see your full moon rising.

I love the answers Chris, thanks for playing. There are actually a few of those questions I'd answer exactly the same as you. Of course I'm not going to tell you which ones because it's not my turn to play...lol.

If you'd like to participate in Truth or Dare, just like Chris, then please send me an email via the contact sheet on my website. I'm sure Chris will confirm it's not as painful as you might think :)

Truth or Dare Tuesday with Khloe Wren

Carrying on the theme from last week we have another Aussie author spilling her guts today.

Khloe Wren lives in the Murraylands, South Australia with her hubby and two kids. Khloe writes paranormal romance with a healthy dose of suspense - she loves twists and turns in a story. She's currently in the process of getting her first book 'Her Guardian Angel: Fire & Snow - Book 1' published. You can visit Khloe on facebook at www.facebook.com/authorkhloewren. Khloe chose truth over dare because she's a wimp! lol (Yes, Khloe agreed wimp was the right word to use.)

So, let's see what the truth is according to Khloe.

What do you think your best and worse physical attributes are?
Worst feature would be a tight call between my height (I'm only 158cm) and my nose. I think my nose would win. It's too big and rather masculine looking. Hmmm, best feature ... most men seem fairly impressed with my 12F boobs, so I guess I'll stick with that as a best feature! lol

Have you ever been unfaithful to a boyfriend/girl friend?
I've never been unfaithful ... I did however date two guys at the same time. They both had the same first name, which came in handy! They knew about each other and would vie for my 'attentions' if they knew I'd been out with the other the previous night. Kept me on my toes that's for sure!

If you could go out on a date with anyone in the world who would it be?
If I didn't have my wonderful husband ... Vin Diesel hands down. That man is amazing! He's beautiful, sexy and has a brain! If you could wear out a DVD's my copy of 'XXX' and 'The Fast and The Furious' wouldn't work. Just in case it's not obvious I'm obsessed, my first book's hero is named Dominic, there's also a Xander in there too!

When you are trying to impress people what personality trait do you hide?
It has been said that I could talk buried in concrete with a mouth full of marbles ... so generally, if I'm trying to make a good impression I try really hard not to talk too much. It's not often I can actually pull it off though.

Where is the strangest place you’ve ever had sex?
Oh dear, the things you do when young! I once let my boyfriend talk me into skinny dipping in the murky waters of the Murray River. It resulted in some very awkward sex in the water ;) Can't say I recommend it, and I was scared stiff of being caught ... until a fish nibbled my calf, then another fear took over! lol

Wow, thanks Khloe you have definitely impressed me with your answers. Your early years would clearly make a great erotic romance - two men competing for your affection, sex in the Murray River and who knows what else you could throw in. What does everyone else think, would Khloe's life make a good romance?

Thanks for being here :)

Alpha Male Blog Hop

Born That Way

I expect that over the next few days you will read all sorts of blogs about alpha males. I almost feel like I should use a capital ‘A’ when I type the word, much the same as I do when typing the word Dominant in relation to a Dom/me. I will however, refrain and stick with lower case. I love alpha males, I love writing about them, reading about them and meeting them in real life.

There are lots of words used to describe alpha males. Confident, dominant, fearless, driven, successful, self assured, the list goes on. I’ve certainly used a lot of them, after all, I write about alpha males in my books. The same words tend to repeat over and over again, so I decided to see if I could find descriptions I hadn’t thought of to blog about. However, while checking out the internet I discovered something really surprising. When you Google ‘alpha males’ there are a myriad of blogs and articles about how a man can become an alpha male.

Mmm…a man can become an alpha by following a few simple steps… Really?

I’ve always believed that alpha males were born that way, not taught to be that way. A man either had it or he didn’t. Apparently I was wrong. The internet has lists of alpha personality traits, explanations on how to and how not to behave as an alpha, techniques on incorporating these characteristics into a man’s life, thereby turning them into an alpha male. It begs the question though, can a man learn these techniques and actually pull it off or, would woman see straight through them and label them try-hards or posers?

I’ve certainly met men who appear to be dominant, in fact they may even state they are. They say and do all the right things, however, there’s just something missing in relation to the I-am-alpha vibe they portray. I now wonder… could these men actually be non-alphas in disguise? Men who know the techniques because they’ve read about them on the internet but just don’t have the natural ability or genetic make-up to convince us they are the real deal.

So can a man learn how to be an alpha or are Alpha males simply born that way? What do you think?

An excerpt from Seducing a Cougar.

It didn’t take a genius to ascertain Susan’s attraction to him. Her flushed skin and shallow breaths in response to his touch indicated such. What he didn’t understand was the obvious nervousness toward him. He hoped it would ease over time and put it down to the fact she wasn’t ready to enter into any sort of relationship just yet. After all, the separation from her husband was a fairly recent thing. She’d need time to recover, to sort her feelings out. Blake was prepared to give her that, but he also wanted to leave her in no doubt that when she was ready to move forward he was interested in being the man she moved forward with.
“It’s just over here on the right.” Susan indicated the driveway of her brother, John Dean’s home.
Blake would save the discussion that he was a partner at her brother’s law firm for another time. Tonight was about making an impression she wouldn’t easily forget. As Susan rummaged through her purse, presumably looking for her house keys, he exited the car and walked around to open the passenger door. As he escorted her to the entry of her flat, located at the side of the Dean’s home, he resisted the urge to lower his hand from the small of her back onto her lushly rounded ass. She was definitely a woman who had a bottom designed for spanking and one fleshy enough to mark nicely with a few strikes of his cane.
“Thank you for driving me home.” Susan spoke nervously as she fumbled to get the key into the lock. “I’m fine to take it from here.”
Blake stood close behind her, intentionally crowding her toward the door. He reached his hand over her shoulder and placed it over hers, assisting her trembling hand to successfully slide the key into the lock. He then tightened his grip on her fingers, preventing her from turning the key. She braced her free hand on the frame of the door as he wrapped his arm around her waist and held her firmly against his body.
“Are you sure you wouldn’t like me to tuck you into bed and kiss you goodnight, Susan?” He whispered the words into her ear and felt a shudder run through her body as he exhaled a slow stream of warm breath to caress her neck.
Susan shook her head. “I can’t.”
“I know, I heard you tell Justin at the club. You’re not ready.” Blake ran his hand upward over her midriff before cupping her breast. He felt the tightened bud of her nipple through the fabric, and pressed it into his palm as he gently squeezed her flesh.
Her breathy moan encouraged him, as did her head falling back to rest on his shoulder, and her bottom pressing onto the erection beneath his trousers as she arched against him. He removed his hand from over hers and swiftly positioned it to cup her mound, pressing her skirt between her legs and pulling her harder against the stiffness between his legs. He pinched the peaked nipple beneath her clothing as she began to squirm against the hand between her legs.
“Blake, why are you…” the low moan that rose from within her caused his cock to flinch with demand.  He’d made his point.
He moved both hands to rest firmly on her hips.
“I want you to remember who I am, Susan.” He ensured the tone of his voice was firm because he wanted her to know that he expected her to comply with his demand. “When you’re ready, I expect you to come for me, do you understand?”
“Yes.” Her breathless reply caused him to smile. So did the fact that she stood with her hands still braced against the door.
“That’s my good girl.” The sharp slap he placed on her ass as he prepared to walk away, caused her to squeal and spin around. The arousal in her eyes spoke an undeniable truth. “Yes, you like that don’t you?”
Susan didn’t need to say a word. He could see the answer written all over her horny body and her beautifully blushed face.

Truth or Dare Tuesday with Imogene Nix

Welcome one and all to the inaugural post for the weekly game of Truth or Dare. Every Tuesday someone new will be baring all, either by answering some tricky questions or taking up a quirky dare. I hope you all have fun reading the posts and if you'd like to join in and take a turn at playing, just send me a message via my website.

Our first guest on Truth or Dare Tuesday is author, Imogene Nix. I'm so happy to have a fellow Aussie kick of proceedings and I thank Imogene for being brave enough to take the first spot.

A little bit about Imogene and why she chose Truth over Dare.

I’m an erotic Science Fiction author who lives in regional Queensland with my family, raising chickens, guinea pigs, cats and dogs. When I’m not busy writing, I run a small bookstore and read anything I can lay my hands on.

I chose the truth over the dare, because only one would be do-able for me and the problem is there are no fountains! Nah... deep down I'm really a squib so I couldn't bring myself to do most of the Dares.

Imogene has bravely answered five questions for us, lets see if we think she's been totally honest with her responses.

If you will be given a chance to become invisible for one day, what would do?
Spend the day pranking people. Moving stuff, making phone calls on their phones…Especially people who annoy me… pinch their car keys, stuff like that.

Where is the strangest place you’ve ever had sex?
In the boot of a four wheel drive in the garage J But I definitely won’t tell you the location.

What is the worst thing about being an adult?
I have to behave like an adult all the time. There are just times, you wish you could act like a kid, but have to act the adult. Especially around the kids!

If you could go out on a date with anyone in the world who would it be?
Rufus Sewell… he’s so gorgeous or maybe Jonathon Rhys Meyers or Colin Firth (and if I could get away with it, all three!)

What feature of yours are you self-conscious about?
My nose.

Well what do you all think?

It sounds like complete honesty to me but I think there might be more to the sex in the garage story...lol. Thanks for playing, Imogene and also thanks for popping our Truth or Dare cherry :)

Hot in Handcuffs Blog Hop

When trying to decide what my ebook giveaway would be for this blog hop I discovered something interesting. I contemplated the books I've written and was surprised that three of them have heroes who are cops and Doms. Two self confessed Doms and one that is dominant but doesn't claim the title...lol. I think the cop thing must say something about me and my love of men in uniform. The Dom thing is a given, I'm active in the BDSM lifestyle so Doms are my preference. Anyway, back to the ebook I decided to give away. The 'Hot in Handcuffs'  title of the blog means I want to stick with a kinky handcuff theme, but which alpha-male, dominant, cop do I choose? I love them all, in fact I love all the men that have featured in my books. I've fallen in love with each and everyone because in my eyes they're all perfect. Mainly because they're fictional and I don't have to be annoyed with them leaving the toilet seat up or controlling the TV remote...lol.

But I have to pick one, so I'm going back to where it all started. My first book, Finding Angel. That's the ebook I'm giving away and it features the cop I'm going to highlight today...Christian Shore. (For any FSOG fans reading this I'd like to say no, it's not a copycat name, my Christian graced the pages of Finding Angel before the other Mr Gray was released).

When I wrote Finding Angel one of my crit readers told me she thought I favored the other Shore brother in the story, of course I denied that because it wasn't true. Christian was my first Dom policeman and that means he has a special place in my heart. I like him because he's not your average brooding Dom. He has a sense of humor, a quick wit and a devious mind when it comes to BDSM play. He's also a damn good cop, protective of the woman he loves and great in bed, well, at least that's what Angel tells me. I tried to write him so he was as realistic as possible, he's a Dom but he also has a life that encompasses family, friends (both kinky and vanilla), work and relationship problems. Along with his brother, Daniel, he Doms the heroine of the book, Angel. He doesn't Dom the whole world. I guess, like all my BDSM characters, Christian reflects my personal view of the kink community in the books I write. It's part of who we are, it's not the whole of us.

I'm going to finish this post with a short excerpt from Finding Angel that contains one of my favorite quotes from Christian. He's talking to Angel on the phone not long after they've met...
 Finding Angel, 2011...Excerpt
"I have mine black, no sugar. Feel free to come and serve it to me in bed," Christian jested. "You know I could arrest you for trying to charge me for phone sex…"
"Yeah, sure," Angel quipped back at him.
"No really, I’m a cop." Christian stated, "As a Dom I wanted a profession where carrying cuffs wasn’t questioned."
‘You are way too nice to be a cop," Angel replied. "Most of the cops I meet are pricks."
"Serious, how many cops do you meet?" Christian sounded intrigued.
"Too many lately. So what are you planning to do today?" The fact Angel changed the subject so quickly wasn’t lost on Christian and he decided to store the information away for a later date.

To win an ebook copy of Finding Angel simply tell me what's your favorite kind of Dom to read about? Do you like them all powerful and controlling or do you like a little bit of sensitivity to them? Or is there something else that turns you on about a dominant male?

Comment, including leaving your email address, on this post between the 10th and 15th October and follow my blog if you haven't already done so to go in the draw.

I hope you all enjoy the blog hop :)

Seducing a Cougar -

When a sexy, young, dominant man decides to seduce you, why resist when you can submit?

Susan Dean didn’t have any idea that taking a job at her brother’s law firm would change her life. Then she met junior partner Blake Daniel’s. They are complete opposites. Blake is young, confident, dominant and determined to claim anything he wants in life. Not that he’d want a woman who turns into a clumsy, nervous wreck that can barely string a sentence together when he’s in the same room as her, or would he?

Blake is a patient man, and it’s a good thing he is because waiting for Susan Dean is driving him to distraction. The attraction between them is obvious. He turns her into a horny mess everytime they’re in the same room, not that Susan appears ready to admit that fact. Once Blake decides it’s time to make a move on his voluptuous co-worker, Susan will have no option but to submit to his seductive demands.
